We thought it was time for a refresh. As we iterate and ideate we come to realizations about who we are and why we create. We share, laugh, and encourage each other to keep going with our various projects. We share our progress on our various channels or on this website. We skip around, putting effort into the most intriguing ideas to us in the moment, usually cycling between our music, writing, and humorous content.
About us.
This page gets a lot of updates as we decide what we want Meatbag Made to represent. Currently this is a place for our own creative endeavors. In the future, our site will also aim to shine a spotlight on other humans’ authentic human-made art, goods, and services. We think we can do this through articles, interviews, features, and news stories.
Products.
It’s been a while since we sat on a blanket outside our apartment in Edmonds, sipping a Friday afternoon gin or whiskey cocktail (times have changed!), and built out a “Meatbag Made Product” list, all entirely whimsical and fictional. Many of those can still be found on the newly updated page. Veo3, Google’s video creation tool, has been fun in making these zany ads.
We’ve also entered a new era of excitement for some ideas for products we actually want to build. You’ll start to find these here too, starting with our useful newborn tracker app with a funny name, Milk And Butt. We’ll have an article coming soon with the backstory of our own newborn NICU feeding/changing tracking experience.
Games.
This is a rapidly growing page as it represents Kevin’s new favorite hobby of vibe coding. Oregon Fail was his first foray. A Home Run Tracker for his and his dad’s home run pool with friends was another early successful effort that has just worked from the start. He’s learned about AI tools, APIs, databases, hosting, deployment, UI, UX, and various functionality and code on the fly and you can follow along here. Riventide, a fantasy RPG game featuring music by Kevin and Odawni is a larger effort and almost done!
Music.
This page hasn’t changed much but it will soon feature a larger portion of our extensive library of originals and covers.
Writing.
Kevin was waiting to hear back on his application to write for the Fantasy Footballers. After a second annual “no,” he’s ready to get back to a wider variety of written content. He’ll lean into railroad history, personal hotel and rock n’ roll stories, and his experience working with AI tools this year.
Odawni is always writing and you can find some of her recent content on Medium, here. She also ghostwrote an entire book that was recently published! We’re so proud, and she’s for hire!
So that’s where we are, Meatbag Nation! Navigating this crazy world the only way we know how, leading with love and understanding. Until next time, keep those embers of innovation burning. Don’t hate, create!
